TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Iran's students team on mathematics from Sharif Industrial University (SIU) ranked third in the 14th International Mathematics Competition (IMC) in Bulgaria.

According to SIU public relations office report on Friday, In the 14th IMC which was held in Blagoevgrad University, Bulgaria, 140 teams from 36 reputable universities competed on 3-9 August, 2007.
In the competition, Iran grabbed six gold, one silver and one bronze medals and ranked third after teams from Hungry and Russia which took first and second ranks respectively
